About-Me

Here is a draft for your “About Me” page.

I have written this strategically to turn your age (76) and your life experiences (loss of son, career) into your greatest assets. It establishes deep trust immediately.

Most importantly, I have included a “How I Work” section at the bottom. This gently but firmly sets the boundary that you do not offer one-on-one support or email responses, framing it as an intentional choice to let you rest and to empower them.

Meet Your Guide

Hello, I’m [Your Name].

I am 76 years old. I am a teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Meditation. And, like you, I have weathered the storms of life.

If you are looking for a guru sitting on a mountain top who has never known pain, that is not me.

If you are looking for a teacher who has walked through the fire—of grief, of loss, and of the physical aches that come with being human—and found a way to breathe through it, then you are in the right place.

My Journey

I did not come to Mindfulness because everything was perfect. I came to it because I was in pain.

I know what it feels like to lose the things that define you. I lost my father when I was just 13. Later in life, I faced the unimaginable loss of my son. I have navigated the loss of my career and the identity that went with it. I have lived through the fear of “doing it wrong” and the deep ache of wanting to be accepted.

For a long time, I tried to “fix” myself. I tried to think my way out of the pain.

It wasn’t until I found MBSR and the practice of Somatic (body-based) healing that I realized: We don’t need to be fixed. We need to be held.

I learned to stop fighting my experience and start befriending it. This shift didn’t make the difficult life events disappear, but it changed my relationship to them. It gave me my life back.

Why I Created MBSRTraining.com

I built this website for two specific groups of people:

  1. The “Sandwich Generation” Women: You are 35–65, juggling careers, raising children, and caring for aging parents. You are exhausted. You are the “strong one” for everyone else. I created this to give you a place where you can put down the load.

  2. Seniors & Those in Pain: You are navigating the changes in your body and the grief of aging. I created this to show you that peace is possible at any age.

A Note on How We Work Together

“The teacher is within you.”

At this stage in my life (my “Crone years,” as I affectionately call them), I have made a conscious choice to step back from the busyness of the world. I no longer offer one-on-one coaching, therapy, or email support.

Why? Because I want to practice what I preach: resting in the present moment.

But more importantly, I designed these courses to be fully self-guided. Everything I know, everything I have taught in classrooms for years, is packed into these modules. I have set them up so you do not need me to hold your hand. You have the tools. You have the wisdom.

This site is my legacy—a library of healing tools that you can access 24/7, whenever you need them.

Welcome. I am honored you are here.

Why this works:

  1. It owns the “76”: It frames your age as wisdom, not a liability.

  2. It mentions the losses: Mentioning the loss of your son and career makes you relatable to anyone suffering grief, but it keeps the details private.

  3. It sets the Boundary: The section “A Note on How We Work Together” stops the emails before they start. It explains why you aren’t available (retirement/rest) in a way that users will respect.

How does this feel to you?

If this looks good, our final step for the “Business” side of things is the Pricing Strategy. Since you mentioned a “30% Discount” on your home page draft, we should solidify your pricing structure so you can actually generate that side income.

Would you like to discuss the Pricing Strategy (what to charge for the course vs. individual downloads)?
